The calculators below are the ones we use ourselves, built for Australian bookmakers and the Betfair exchange. They are free, they need no account and no email address, and they run in your browser so nothing you type leaves your device.
They do arithmetic and nothing more. A calculator can tell you the exact lay stake for the prices you type in. It cannot tell you what you will make, because that depends on the odds actually available when you place both legs and on the bookmaker's promotion terms. Read those terms before you use any of these.

The one you will use most. Enter your back stake, the bookmaker odds, the exchange odds and your commission rate, and it returns the lay stake that makes both outcomes land on the same number, plus the liability the exchange will hold. It covers all three cases: a qualifying bet placed with your own money, a bonus bet where the stake is not returned, and the rarer bonus bet where the stake is returned.

Turn a bonus bet into cash
The same engine, preset to the bet type Australian bookmakers actually hand out: a bonus bet where the stake is not returned if it wins. Enter the face value of the bonus, the odds you are backing at and the exchange price, and it shows the lay stake, the liability, and what percentage of the bonus you end up converting to withdrawable cash.

Split a stake across outcomes
Splits one total stake across two to six mutually exclusive outcomes so your return is the same whichever of them wins. Useful when there is no exchange price worth taking, when liquidity is thin, or when a promotion is easier to cover across several selections than to lay. It also shows the total implied probability, which tells you immediately whether the book is worth dutching at all.

Decimal, fractional, American, probability
Type a price in any format and get the other three plus the implied probability. Australian bookmakers quote decimal odds, most overseas sources quote fractional or American, and offer terms are often written with a minimum price in a format that is not the one on your screen. Converting in your head is where mistakes start.

A calculator is only as good as the numbers you feed it, and every expensive mistake in matched betting is an input mistake rather than a maths mistake. Four habits stop almost all of them.
- Enter the odds you can actually get right now, not the odds you saw a minute ago. Exchange prices move, and a lay stake calculated on a stale price leaves you exposed.
- Check the bet type before you check anything else. A bonus bet where the stake is not returned needs a different lay stake to a qualifying bet, and using the wrong one is the single most common way people end up unbalanced.
- Use your own commission rate. Betfair commission in Australia varies by market, racing code and state, so the default five percent is a starting point rather than a fact about your account.
- Read the liability figure, not just the lay stake. Liability is the cash the exchange holds while the market is open, and it is what decides how many offers you can run at once.

Are these calculators really free?
Yes. Every calculator on this site is free to use with no account, no email address and no paywall. They run entirely in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to us or stored anywhere.
Do I need to sign up to use them?
No. There is no signup, no login and no trial required. If you later want the offer alerts, the tracker and the community that sit around the method, that is a separate paid product, but the calculators are not part of it.
Which calculator should I use first?
The matched betting calculator. It is the back and lay calculation you need for a qualifying bet and for converting a bonus bet, which together cover almost every Australian promotion. The dutching calculator and the odds converter are supporting tools.
What commission rate should I enter?
Whatever your own exchange account charges on that market. Betfair commission in Australia varies by market, by racing code and by state, so check your current rate rather than assuming one number. Five percent is a common starting point and is the default in our calculators.
Will these calculators guarantee me a profit?
No. They show arithmetic, not outcomes. A calculator tells you what the numbers do at the prices you type in. What you actually make depends on the odds available when you place both legs, on the promotion terms, and on placing both legs correctly.
Do the calculators work on a phone?
Yes. Every calculator is built for mobile first with numeric keyboards on the inputs, because most people run the numbers on a phone with the bookmaker app open next to it.
